Insulation specialist Actis has expanded its technical team with the appointment of a new specification manager for the North
Tara Pronaszko joins the UK-wide specification team to work with builders, architects, building control officers and energy assessors across North West and North East England, the East Midlands and the whole of mainland Scotland.
Her role will see her support construction professionals to meet the thermal efficiency requirements of the Future Homes Standard.
The work includes writing clear and accurate specifications, creating U-value calculations to support design teams and delivering Actis’ popular RIBA-approved CPD training sessions.
Tara is excited to get to work
Tara, who has a history MA, says her academic background provides her with skills essential to her new role.
“It might seem like an unexpected fit, but it actually helped me build a solid skillset – things like research, attention to detail, and clear writing. All of that translates surprisingly well to construction specs, where accuracy and clarity are key,” she said.
“Actis is a genuinely innovative company and feels like a great place to learn and grow. The industry is interesting as it’s technical and constantly evolving. Everyone on the team is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.”
When not at work Tara enjoys travelling and keeping fit and unwinds by trying out new recipes.
Actis UK and Ireland sales director Mark Cooper added: “Tara is a valuable addition to our knowledgeable specification team. As well as visiting sites, creating complex build-ups, building strong relationships with architects, housing developers and building control officers to ensure our solutions are specified effectively, she will helping to train the current and next generation of construction industry professionals via our RIBA-approved CPD training courses.”
