A group of leading construction brands under the Etex umbrella will present a coordinated showcase at UKREiiF 2025, demonstrating how a fully integrated approach to the building envelope can help meet the construction industry’s twin priorities of safety and sustainability
Etex will demonstrate how this works in practice, creating a full-scale display of an internal and external wall system with products that are designed to perform together under real-world conditions.
The specially designed display will include a Remagin Steel Frame System, Siniat Weather Defence sheathing and internal drywall systems, EQUITONE and Cedral fibre cement cladding, URSA rainscreen insulation, Superglass internal insulation, a Promat passive fire protection system and FSi Promat fire stopping and cavity barriers.
This will be supported by a headline speech in the Etex pavilion on how Etex can support in meeting the requirements of the Building Safety Act – and how to balance that with the need for sustainability in the built environment – from Technical Director of Promat and Siniat Nigel Morrey.
The aim will be to highlight how early-stage collaboration can improve buildability, reduce risk and support compliance with the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.
The Etex pavilion will host talks on the benefits of specifying fibre cement cladding in commercial and residential projects, while Remagin will be joined by McCarthy Stone alongside Homes England to discuss supply challenges within the later living sector.
Remagin will also host a talk looking at the cross-sector cost efficiencies and build speed of using light gauge steel frames, while Superglass will put the spotlight on sustainability, discussing the impact of glass mineral wool insulation on operational and embodied carbon in the drive towards net zero.
UKREiiF is one of the biggest events in the built environment calendar
Held from 20–22 May at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, UKREiiF is expected to attract more than 16,000 visitors from across real estate, infrastructure and government. With more than 60 stages and 1,250 speakers confirmed, the event has become a key platform for investment-focused conversations around housing delivery, net zero targets and the evolving regulatory landscape.
Passive fire protection plays a critical role in building safety, and leading manufacturers Promat and FSi Promat will demonstrate the importance of compartmentation, especially at junctions and interfaces, areas now under closer scrutiny across the industry as an essential aspect of life critical safety.
Nigel Morrey said: “The Building Safety Act is reshaping the construction landscape to ensure buildings are well designed and built with life critical safety in mind from the very earliest point. As we work to reduce carbon levels in the built environment, it remains vital that fire and structural safety also remains a priority.
“There’s a growing need for joined-up thinking and systems that don’t just comply on paper, but are properly tested, coordinated and supported from specification through to installation. A collaborative approach will be the way forward in showing how best practice building design – and construction – must look to achieve the highest standards.
“In bringing the Etex brands together and discussing the tested solutions that we can offer across different disciplines of the construction sector we aim to highlight that an all-encompassing, joined up approach to safety is the best way to support both the Building Safety Act and more sustainable building design.”
Remagin, Promat and Siniat recently carried out joint testing to demonstrate performance standards for SFS-to-steel interfaces, an area where real-world conditions can often complicate standard detailing and design assumptions.
Richard Wilson, Technical and Specification Manager at Remagin said: “Too often, risk sits at the interfaces. By testing complete configurations, not just components, we’re helping project teams make informed decisions and avoid problems later on.”
Remagin will also be hosting an exclusive drinks reception in the Etex pavilion offering guests a chance to unwind at the end of the day along with the opportunity to network and exchange ideas around key themes discussed throughout the day, such as sustainable construction and the future of housing delivery.
The drinks reception is in collaboration with the Offsite Alliance
As a dedicated member of the organisation, Remagin recognises the challenges and potential within the MMC industry, and this will offer a chance to bring progressive conversations under one roof with leading industry professionals.
Remagin’s charity partner Crisis will also highlight its work to build a new model to drive its mission to end homelessness.
