The Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) and KCB Bank Kenya have entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Kencom House.
The MoU, signed by George Laboso, Senior Manager for Affordable Housing at KCB Bank, and Qs. Mutinda Mutuku, President of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK), underscores a shared commitment to advancing professionalism, innovation, and financial inclusivity within Kenya’s built environment.
This partnership aims to provide innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of professionals and businesses in the construction and real estate sectors. Through this collaboration, IQSK members will gain access to a suite of customized banking and financing products designed to support their professional growth, project execution, and enterprise development.
The initiative will also focus on knowledge exchange, project financing, and capacity building, empowering members to undertake more impactful projects while promoting sustainable practices in the industry. By bridging the gap between the financial and construction sectors, this collaboration seeks to enhance access to affordable credit, facilitate investment in infrastructure, and strengthen financial literacy among practitioners.
Speaking during the signing, representatives from both institutions emphasized the importance of partnerships that drive sectoral growth and create value for professionals contributing to Kenya’s built environment.
IQSK extends its appreciation to the KCB team, led by Qs. Nicholas Mutuma, Senior Manager for Project Management and Construction, and to the IQSK leadership for championing this transformative initiative. This partnership marks a significant step toward building stronger institutional synergies and supporting the long-term sustainability of the built environment sector.
