
There was excellence and camaraderie during the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya’s golf tournament on Friday as 139 professionals battled on the greens to cement friendships.
From the first tee off at 6:30 am unto the dinner, good competition and warm connections marked the day in a tournament that convened quantity surveyors, architects, investment bankers and other key players in Kenya’s built environment.
Celebrating Winners
Crispin Sankale (Hcp18) stole the show as the Overall Winner with a phenomenal score of 47 points. He was followed closed by Shirley Cheptoo who scoped the Sponsor Winner award with a 45 points.

Purity Chelangat took home the Lady Winner award after posting 42 points followed by Mary Karimi as Lady Runner Up title with 38 points.
Francis Mbithi scooped the Men’s Winner title with 40 points, followed closely by Edward Keter who posted 39 points securing the Men’s Runners-Up.
Q.S Francis Ombura took the top shot among the quantity surveyors by posting 36 points. QS Diana Musyoka secured the Runner-Up Q.S with equal points.
More than Just Golf

While the winners took their prizes home, the day was for colleagues and industry partners to meet and create new connections while celebrating the IQSK’s legacy in convening critical players in the built environment.
Commenting on the tournament, the IQSK President QS Janet Chirchir thanked the winners and acknowledged the partnerships that made the tournaments a success.
“IQSK sincerely thanks all the sponsors and partners who supported the 28th Annual Golf Tournament. Your contribution helped create an event that brought professionals, businesses and friends of the Institute together”. Said Q.S Janet.
This year’s tournament attracted sponsors mainly from the capital market and the energy sectors. They included the Standard Investment Bank, the owners of Mansa X, Safer Power Limited, Onsec Appliances and Lofty Corban. Other critical partners included KABCEC, Mitech Services, DLive Ventures and Zanna Leather Crafts.

She also expressed gratitude to the IQSK Council, Committee members and the Secretariat for their contribution in the planning and execution of the tournament. Other critical partners in the event were the AAQS Africa Association of Quantity Surveyors represented by their President Matthew Ngulube
The IQSK expresses gratitude to all the partners, players and the management of the Royal Nairobi Golf Club for their participation in making this year’s golf a success.
