AES is a UK-based utility company, with nationwide coverage, with its head offices based in London, and prides itself on high-quality work, providing a first-class service every time
UK-based utility company AES was born from a vision to form a meter operator supporting the smart metering rollout programme and has established itself as one of the leading industry providers of full MOP/MAM and Smart Installation Services.
AES is also the leading installer of smart home technologies within the renewable field for achieving net zero installations and is trusted by some of the top companies within the industry to support their future renewable plans and system installations to reduce the UK’s carbon footprint.
AES is supporting the UK’s Net Zero 2050 pledge
AES’s performance in safety and customer service, as well as our technologies, set us apart from our competitors and have emerged in the past 2 years to have a focus on green and renewable technologies to support the UK’s Net Zero 2050 pledge, and its Green Future plan.
Over the last few years, AES has naturally grown and expanded into new areas including electric vehicle chargers, solar and battery storage, and low-carbon heating installations in the way of air-soured heat pumps, and is are extremely proud to be leading the way in the UK’s decarbonising revolution.
A one stop-shop for renewable energy needs, requirements, and energy-saving needs
Across each department within AES, our customer base stems from both domestic and commercial markets, and we aim to cater to everyone’s needs and requirements, building ongoing relationships with customers so we become a one-stop shop for all their renewable energy needs, requirements, and energy-saving advice.
“We at AES hope that with our excellent customer service, along with our brand loyalty, we can become not only the service provider you are looking for but the service provider the nation is looking for to help them make the change for a cleaner green future,” said Glenn Brewer, director of heating.
The UK-based utility company is headed up by Glenn Brewer
As much as AES now has departments covering all renewable and sustainable products, the focus of this column is the AES heating department, which has been established within the company for the past two years and is headed up by the director of heating Glenn Brewer.
Glenn joined AES, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading and growing successful teams within the gas, smart metering and heating industries.
Glenn has built a number of successful departments and teams to achieve great success within the UK’s big six energy companies. He thrives on the challenges of building and growing successful teams and departments to achieve net zero and deliver AES’s strategy to support and deliver the UK’s future plans for a sustainable future.
Glenn loves building successful teams with a close-knit togetherness and family feel, where everyone works for each other as a group, and that’s really helped at AES, as they’ve grown over the past two years, gaining staff’s trust to ensure they achieve what they set out to achieve by reducing the UK’s carbon footprint, but in an enjoyable way, with staff working hard, but also having fun and working with a smile on their faces.
Supporting large-scale projects across the UK
Over the past two years, the AES heating department has grown substantially and obtained some fantastic working relationships with a number of the world’s leading manufacturers, supporting large-scale projects across the UK, and was the very first installation company to install the latest Samsung HTQ quiet heat pump unit in England (contrary to what’s been said on social media from other installations companies).
AES’s vision is to provide a Concorde level of customer service, every time. Anybody can provide a Rolls-Royce service, but not many can provide Concorde service, and that is what AES is doing. AES prides itself on the fact that we treat every installation as if it was in our own property and go the extra mile to ensure the customer journey is hassle-free, from the first contact to installation completion and sign-off. AES’s approach is building a successful service that stands out from the rest, takes all the hassle away from the customer and does all the legwork for them.
“As for the heating department, we constantly look at ways of improving and ways in which we can provide a better service and ways that keep us ahead of our competitors,” Glenn Brewer said, “we pride ourselves on constantly doing the basics right, doing the simple things correctly the first time round.”
Unlike a large number of companies out there that wish to survey from afar, on a laptop, and provide an estimated quote, which can have hidden costs, the AES heating department likes to meet the customer in person and build a relationship that can be continued. They want to be a point of contact for them to speak with and ask questions throughout and get the answers to the questions they have immediately to put them at ease.
As Glenn Brewer said: “Some of our customers are paying on some occasions vast sums of money to have an installation completed, so we want to gain their trust, and an ongoing future relationship, putting them at ease about the installation from start to finish.”
From a member of the AES surveying teams calling to complete the on-site survey and heat loss calculations to the in-house heating system design, AES keeps the customer as informed as possible throughout.
Supporting asset management with ATOM
Alongside their renewable installation departments, AES has also built and designed its own internal asset management and back-office diary/schedule management system called ATOM. This system manages the whole process from start to finish, from the first contact made with the customer to the final completion, the customer journey is logged and recorded in ATOM. This allows us to inform customers of all visits and service calls via email or texts, plus records any conversations held between both parties, in case of any queries.
For any further info or queries about renewable technology, money-saving green installations, or stock management information around ATOM, you can find out more via www.aes-smart.co.uk or email Hello@aes-smartmetering.com.
