Marketing, innovation and management teams from Actis in France have been discussing next steps in the insulation specialist’s innovation journey with colleagues from the UK and Ireland at a meeting at its French HQ
UK and Ireland marketing manager Maria D’costa and UK and Ireland sales director Mark Cooper joined French counterparts to look at the latest innovation ideas being developed by the company, which is focusing on continuing to offer sustainable ways to ensure residential and commercial buildings are built as thermally efficiently as possible.
The meeting also looked at how to show UK specifiers and architects that using Actis products has a positive impact on the environment, while also being quick, clean, easy and cost-effective.
Maria’s French colleague, marketing project manager Marie Betti, said: “We’re determined to help construction professionals create buildings in a sustainable manner and are proud of our role in helping reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption – from the way in which we create our products to the positive impact they have on our environment. As we say at Actis: ‘We insulate better with fewer materials.”
Actis recently launched a 160-page document outlining the sustainability credentials of its products and manufacturing processes.
While the pdf brochure has been written in French and is aimed at the French non-residential market, its core message also applies to the UK and to domestic buildings.
Zero-waste policy
Maria D’costa added: “We have a zero-waste policy, which sees all off-cuts are recovered, crushed and reintroduced into the manufacturing process. And all our products are 100% recyclable too!
“In fact, these are some of the factors which have enabled our honeycomb-structured Hybris to become the only reflective insulation in Europe to have earned international Cradle to Cradle Certified® Certification.
“Minimal water is used during its production and, because it contains airgaps, its lightness and compactness means more thermal capacity can be carried per lorryload than traditional solid insulation or fibreglass.
“As a company we are determined to ‘do more with less’ and lead the way in minimising the negative impact of construction materials manufactured across the continent.”
