Nigerian musician Burna Boy, also known as the African Giant, has become the first African artiste ever to sell out London Stadium, not just once, but twice.
This grand achievement took place for his show on 29 June 2024. The previous sold-out show he had at the London Stadium was in June 2023. The stadium has an 80,000 capacity for concerts. Additionally, Burna Boy is now the biggest touring African artiste in the world. His ability to sell out a venue that large due to his stardom is impressive.

In an interview with the London Stadium press, Burna Boy shared his thoughts on this great feat. He said, “London Stadium is going to be my fairground! I’ve been told that I couldn’t achieve anything because of where I came from. I hope this can show people that when you have a dream it doesn’t matter where you’ve come from. Your dream can come true.”
“This is going to be legendary, it’s history and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of that.”
Ropo Akin, CEO of Whytelion, a leading company that produces concerts, events, and tours across the UK, shared his thoughts on Burna Boy’s latest achievement.
“We have watched Burna Boy from when he started his journey with us back in 2014. It’s been amazing to be a part of Burna Boy’s vision and for us to help fulfil part of his dreams. It’s been an honour to be alongside his inspiring journey. He is a model talent that any promoter would want to work with, and we have now become family,” he proudly said.
Other Nigerian acts who were present at the show in London were Shallipopi, Omah Lay, and Seyi Vibez.
Furthermore, Burna Boy has sold out stadiums in other countries as well. They include New York City, Canada, Paris, and Arnhem among others.
