A Makurdi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced a 27-year-old carpenter, Oryiman Terkimbi, to 18 months in prison for burgling a restaurant. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the convict, residing behind Bandico Hotel in the Wadata area of Makurdi, pleaded guilty to the offence. The prosecutor, Insp. Inedu Friday, told the court that the case was reported on July 17 by one Mercy Dominic, who lives near Dele Bookshop, Wadata. According to the prosecutor, the convict broke into Dominic’s restaurant located on Naka Road in Benue, and made away with some items in the restaurant. READ ALSO: Kaduna courts
