The growth of the hospitality industry of any country significantly drives the visibility of the tourism sector by providing amenities and conventions needed for tourists, thereby boosting the economy. Countries like Dubai, China, Mexico, South Africa, Kenya, and Ethiopia continue to evolve with state-of-the-art hospitality services to attract tourists.

Nigeria is not left out in this race, with constant innovations in its hospitality industry aimed at selling its destinations to tourists. This drive to top the list of tourism attractions through the hospitality industry conceived Hotel Expo Nigeria (HEN), which sought to chart a course with stakeholders on how to improve the sector in Nigeria even as the fifth edition is set to be held on August 1-2, 2024 at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.

With over 2,550 registered attendees, the two-day event will speakers such as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Wakanow.com, Bayo Adedeji; founder and CEO of Leva Hotels, JS Anand from Dubai; MD/CEO of Burger King Nigeria, Rushdi Ibrahim; food and restaurant bloggers Ify’s Kitchen and Yourfoodgeek; and other respected industry experts.

Themed as the World Cup event for the hospitality community, HEN 2024, like previous editions, offers networking opportunities, massive discounts, and products and service showcases from some of the biggest brands like Air Peace, ValueJet, L’eola Hotel, Leadway Assurance, Vintano hotel, The SRS collection, The Ebony Place, Djin Homes and Security, Homeware House Ltd, FloorKraft, Franuel Eco Furniture, Afess Kitchen, Techno Serve, Park Hub, and Avoire Voltic Nigeria.

The HEN Market Hub also allows vendors—particularly MSMEs—to provide necessities in fashion and perfumery. HEN provides a platform for hospitality business owners and investors to connect with companies offering the latest technology trends. The event would also feature vendors from hospitality services, technology providers, furnishing suppliers, food and beverage vendors, and clothing lines for women.
