Chairperson, Trade Promotion Board of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Abimbola Olashore, has said that the upcoming Information Communication Technology and Telecommunications Expo (ICTEL EXPO 2024) will promote trade and commerce through the current technological innovations.

Speaking at the media launch of the upcoming exhibition, which will be held at Landmark Event Centre on July 30th and 31st, 2024, he said this year’s theme: ‘New Tech, New Threats and New Opportunities’, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the ICTEL EXPO 2024.
Now in its 10th year, he said the theme highlights the transformative power of emerging technologies, mitigating the associated risks and exploring the endless possibilities they present.

“It is a call to action for all stakeholders to engage, innovate, and capitalise on the advancement shaping our future. It would be two days of insightful discussions, pitch sessions by students, demo-driven exhibitions and unparalleled networking opportunities.”

He went on to add that this year, the Lagos Renewable Energy Fair will be jointly held with the ICTEL EXPO in a bid to introduce the solar industry, its products and technologies that are revolutionising the way we live and work.

“The Lagos Renewable Energy Fair will provide a platform to showcase advancement in renewable energy, foster collaboration and highlight the critical role of sustainable energy in our industries. The event will also pay particular attention to the fintech and telecoms sectors, evaluating their operations and challenges. Experts will also speak on alternative sources of power generation for industries, deployment of renewable energy, curbing greenhouse carbon emissions, improving energy security and improving access to electricity via solar,” he said.
