The member representing Lavun, Mokwa and Edati Federal Constituency of Niger State in the House of Representatives, Dr. Jashau Gana, has empowered no fewer than 186 women and youths with skill acquisition materials.

During the flag-off and distribution of materials to the constituents at an event to mark his one year in office at Kutigi town in Lavun local area of the state, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker lauded stakeholders, as well as elders at the local, state and federal levels for raising him politically.

Gana added that he is always in consultation with them to initiate programmes that would touch, transform and uplift the living standard of his entire constituency.
 
Items distributed to the beneficiaries from the three local councils under his constituency included 102 computer starter packs; 33 sewing machines; 33 grinding machines, cash, among other prizes.

The legislator added that the period under review, he drilled 10 boreholes across communities and also rehabilitated others at various villages within the constituency.

IN addition, Gana said presence was equally felt in the agricultural sector, as he donated fertilisers and other farm inputs to farmers in some selected wards across Lavun, Mokwa and Edati local councils, besides repairs of electric transformers at a number of communities.  He equally supported students with school fees and offset medical bills of several patients.
