Security operatives in Kaduna State have confronted daredevil armed robbers and recovered a stolen vehicle in the metropolis, as the criminal elements took to their heels.

Consequently, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Audu Ali Dabigi, ordered officers and men in the command to improve prompt responses to reports of criminal incidents in the state.

Meanwhile, in a statement on Monday, the police spokesman, ASP Mansir Hassan, said, “On July 6, at about 0200 hours, the police received a tip-off from a reliable source about a car snatching incident,” pointing out that “a 2013 Honda Accord was forcibly taken from its owner at his residence in Abuja by unknown armed men.”

He said, “acting promptly on this information, police operatives from the Katari Division of the Kaduna State Police Command swiftly mobilised and intercepted the stolen vehicle on 6th July 2024 at about 0347 hours. The interception occurred at Gidan Dan Busa village, along the Kaduna-Abuja express road.”

“Upon sighting the approaching police officers, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled in another car. The recovered vehicle has been secured and taken to the station for safekeeping.”

“The Commissioner of Police, Dabigi, commends the officers for a job well done and urges them to improve on prompt responses to incidents. He also encourages the public to continue providing valuable information to help the police in the fight against crime,” Hassan said.
