The closing date for the Vectorworks Design Scholarship is fast approaching, but there is still time for you to enter and win up to $3000 USD
The Vectorworks Design Scholarship is open to any students studying a degree related to architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, landscape design, or entertainment design at either an undergraduate or graduate level.
You can win up to $10,000 USD across the two awards
Participants have the chance to be named as a regional winner, with a potential $3,000 USD reward(depending on location).
Regional winners then compete for the Richard Diehl Award, named for Vectorworks’ founder, which comes with a grand prize of $7,000 USD.
As part of the prize package, the winners of the Vectorworks Design Scholarship will gain access to Vectorworks design software, free Vectorworks lab licenses and training(in-person or virtual) with one of Vectorwork’s expert team.
Entries will be showcased to a jury of designers and professors, allowing entrants to gain more professional insight on their projects.

Eric Berg — principal, Pacific Coast Land Design, Inc.
Vanessa Brady — founder and CEO, The Society of British & International Interior Design
David Chadwick — editor and chief writer, CAD User and Construction Computing Magazine
Steven Chavez — landscape architect and founder, SCLA and NAMLA
Colin Davis — director, Studio Partington
Jonathan Emery — landscape architect, DSA Environment & Design Ltd.
David Farley — set and costume designer, David Farley Design
Victoria Farrow — associate professor & BA Architecture course director, Birmingham City University
Curt Henry — senior architectural designer, Dwyer Architectural
Stephen Jones — professor, Theatrical Design, California State University – Sacramento
Len Levine — lighting designer and International Cinema Lighting Society (ICLS) member
Will Metcalf — designer, SWT Design
Anne Militello, head of the Master of Fine Arts Lighting and Design Program, California Institute of the Arts
Cristina Murphy — professor and co-founder of XCOOP
Caitlin Saunders — senior project designer, Starbucks
Ashley Scheidel — founder and creative director, Ashley Scheidel Design Studio
Edward Turner — senior director, Pegasus Group
Eric Winter — architect, Alchemy Architects
“This is such a great opportunity. You can submit a project that you’ve been working on for your degree, so it’s not even any extra work. Why wouldn’t you!?” said David Farley, of David Farley Design, who will also be on the judges panel.
The deadline for entry is 31 July 2023
Winners will be announced on 8 December 2023.
