Appointment to these MMC framework contracts prioritises offsite and modular construction

The contracts cover public sector building projects including education and healthcare

Education and healthcare as a priority

NHS SBS

The NHS SBS contract see Thurston awarded with four lots on builds up to £15m. This is the second consecutive term that the group has been awarded these lots.

This framework runs from June 2025-29, and allows for the purchase, hire, or lease of off-site modular buildings for use by the NHS, including in education, local authorities, and blue light services, in support of the government’s plans for both upgrading the NHS and lowering environmental impacts of construction.

London Construction Programme – £3bn Education Framework

The group has been awarded Lot 1.4: MMC and Temporary Buildings on this education framework contract.

This framework is being led by the London Borough of Haringey, and gives access to 60 public sector bodies across London and the Home Counties in relation to new-build education projects, categorised between £1m-£5m, and over £5m.

Thurston will act as a supplier for projects covering new schools, refurbishments, and fire safety improvements.

LHC Procurement Group: Modular Buildings (MB3) Framework

Thurston is one of the 19 suppliers with a framework contract with LHCPG, worth £265m. This contract runs until May 2029, and covers design, delivery, hire, and refurbishment of temporary and permanent modular units for education, healthcare, defence, and community buildings.

This contract will involve delivery of modular buildings in the Midlands, London and South East for the Northern Procurement Alliance and the South West Procurement Alliance regions.
