Public relations and reputation management firm GLG Communications has announced its lineup of events to commemorate World PR Day (WPRD) this July. The celebrations will include the release of the highly coveted 2024 PR Power List on July 16, a global virtual summit on July 17, and a World PR Day Soiree and PR Power List Awards on July 19.

Through these events, the firm and its A-list industry guests will explore this year’s WPRD theme, “The future of public relations in a changing world.”

Omawumi Ogbe, Managing Partner of GLG Communications, took to her LinkedIn page to express her enthusiasm for the upcoming events, stating, “We are thrilled to announce this incredible lineup of events confirmed for World PR Day 2024. This global celebration highlights the impact and significance of public relations in today’s society.

“We look forward to connecting professionals, inspiring innovation, and fostering meaningful conversations that will shape the future of our industry,” she wrote.

“The World PR Day initiative is a testament to the growing influence and impact of public relations on a global scale,” said Andras Sztaniszlav, CEO of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) and President of the Hungarian Public Relations Association (MPRSZ).

The PR Power List, published exclusively by The Guardian on July 16, recognises the incredible achievements of the top 50 Nigerian PR and communications professionals over the last twelve months.

“Being part of the PR Power List jury is a humbling experience. I’m deeply impressed by the calibre of talent and the remarkable contributions of the Nigerian PR professionals shortlisted. It is a privilege to be part of the process that recognizes and celebrates their exceptional work,” added Sztaniszlav, who not only serves as the keynote speaker for the Global Summit and a member of the prestigious international jury for the 2024 PR Power List.
