Australia’s Alex de Minaur reached the Wimbledon last 16 on Saturday when injury-plagued Lucas Pouille withdrew from their third round tie.

Pouille, a former top 10 player who is now ranked 212, handed De Minaur a walkover after suffering an abdominal injury.

France’s Pouille had to come through qualifying and made the third round of a Slam for the first time since Wimbledon in 2019 when Thanasi Kokkinakis quit their second round clash with injury.
