Grammy Award-winning artiste, Burna Boy, has publicly asked fellow musician Dammy Krane to take down a social media post in which he accused Davido of being involved in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike.
Who is Tagbo Umeike?
Umeike passed away in October 2017, reportedly from excessive alcohol consumption following his birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State. Despite the official cause of death being cited as alcohol poisoning, the circumstances surrounding Umeike’s death are unclear, with no charges ever filed.
Last month, Krane started a controversy by accusing Davido of being a “murderer” and sending a series of curses at the ‘OBO’ hitmaker.
Davido, who has consistently denied any involvement in Umeike’s death, responded by threatening to sue Krane for defamation of character and cyberbullying.
Dammy Krane’s accusations
Nevertheless, Dammy Krane persisted with his accusations, even going as far as to declare his readiness to testify in court against Davido.
“I’m boldly saying @davido has a hand in Tagbo’s death,” Krane wrote on social media. “If I’m lying they should sue me, make everything cast for court. I ready help am spread all hin dirty linen for the public.”
The feud took another turn when Burna Boy intervened, urging Krane to reconsider his approach.
Burna Boy’s disapproval
In a comment on Krane’s post, Burna Boy expressed his disapproval of the accusations. He advised Krane to delete the post.

“Bro. WTF are you doing?? Take this down now !! Make me and u no get problem abeg. No be like this we dey handle differences,” Burna Boy wrote.
“We both know how it feels to be locked up, why TF would you wish that on anyone? I gat love for u but I do NOT stand for any of this police a** shit. Take all this shit down please.”
As of now, Dammy Krane has not responded to Burna Boy’s request. The post is still up on his X account.
