Insulation specialist Actis has been awarded a silver medal by a leading global sustainability and corporate social responsibility organisation
The recognition, by EcoVadis, means Actis, headquartered in South West France, is among the top 15% of performers from 125,000 companies assessed over the past 12 months.
The award, which acknowledges a company’s positive intent to improve its sustainability management performance, follows Actis’ achievement of a bronze EcoVadis medal in 2024.
The assessment awards marks against 21 criteria in four categories – environment, ethics, labour and human rights and sustainable procurement – in line with EcoVadis’ mission to enable businesses to improve the planet and people’s lives.
Actis’ responsible sourcing score of 84% puts the insulation manufacturer in the top one per cent of EcoVadis-assessed companies in the plastics manufacturing sector.
Its overall score, along with its labour and human rights mark, put Actis among the top three per cent of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the sector, while its ethics put it in the top four per cent.

The award is the latest recognition of Actis’ drive to minimise its impact on the environment. Its very low-energy production process consumes no water, its zero-waste policy sees all off-cuts recovered, crushed and reintroduced into the manufacturing process and all its products are 100 per cent recyclable.
