Darran Burrage joins Go Geothermal as commercial director, bringing 20 years of sale experience to the role
Darran Burrage joins Go Geothermal from Worcester Bosch, where he was New Build director leading the company’s sales team as it moved towards the use of renewable energy technologies with developers such as Taylor Wimpey and Bellway.
With over 20 years’ experience in sales, Darran has been tasked with overseeing the commercial growth of Go Geothermal which was established in 2006 and has grown to become the leading UK supplier of air and ground source heat pumps and associated components.
The company, which has its head office in the North-East of England and a commercial office in the Midlands, stocks heat pumps from the world’s leading brands – including its own CTC brand – as well as other products such as solar, biomass, underfloor heating, and more.
Increasing the profile of heat pumps in new markets
One of Darran’s roles will be to introduce Go Geothermal’s products to new customers and sectors, including social housing, new build, and eco-funded schemes.
Darran said: “I am delighted to have joined Go Geothermal at a time when the sector it operates within is in the spotlight more than it is has ever been before.
“The company is playing an important part in the drive toward the achieving net zero status by 2050 and has identified a growth plan aimed at bringing its renewable energy products to the attention of even more markets.
“My role, along with the existing sales team, is to explore and open up these new markets so we can continue to grow and offer our unique cradle to grave solution to customers, which also includes heat pump installer training and on-site support.”
Tim Williams, director of Go Geothermal, said: “We are pleased to have been able to attract someone of Darran’s calibre to the company.
“Working with our sales team, he will help further drive forward our business, bringing our products to the attention of even more customers, commercial and residential, and ultimately enabling us to meet our growth targets in the coming years.”
Darran’s appointment follows Go Geothermal’s expanding operations
As part of its growth strategy, Go Geothermal has been able to increase its extensive product range following the opening in September 2023 of a new head office and warehouse in the North-East of England.
This has enabled the company to double the size of its previous premises, and the new warehouse in particular provides it with the ability to increase its stock holding by three and half times – equating to £1.6m worth of renewable energy products, with space to grow to £5m.
