Created by Tilbury Douglas, the humanoid robot will assist site teams by undertaking time-consuming administrative and data collection tasks.

This will enable workers to focus on technical and operational responsibilities on construction sites.

First humanoid robot supports monitoring and reporting processes

The humanoid robot is capable of autonomously navigating the construction site to capture 360° imagery and detailed progress reports.

The collected data will also support health and safety monitoring and reporting processes.

The initiative is expected to save an average of 40 hours per month, driving greater efficiency while maintaining high standards of compliance and oversight.

The future of technology in the construction workforce

Trialling the humanoid robot marks an important step in Tilbury Douglas’ digital transformation journey, demonstrating how emerging technologies enhance operational performance while supporting the industry’s evolving workforce needs.

Mark Buckle, technical director at Tilbury Douglas, explained: “The construction industry continues to face a skills shortage and ongoing resource challenges.
