Step 1: Select the correct Center Point Fastener

Choose the appropriate Center Point fastener based on the subframe material
and panel thickness.

  • SDA4 fasteners are used for aluminium subframes.
  • SX4 fasteners are suitable for aluminium or steel subframes.

Both options are available in stainless steel A4 for excellent corrosion resistance and durability. Select the correct size according to panel thickness (typically 6, 8, 10, or 12-13 mm) and clamping length. Flat-head fasteners are available in paintable finishes and full RAL colour options for a clean, coordinated façade appearance.

Step 2: Understand the Center Point components

The system consists of three integrated components:

  • The centring sleeve
  • The Center Point fastener
  • The optimised drive bit

The centring sleeve is the core innovation. It ensures the fastener is always positioned precisely in the centre of the panel’s pre-drilled hole. During installation, the sleeve breaks apart and ejects cleanly from the panel face, leaving no residue behind.

Step 3: Align the panel and insert the centring sleeve

Position the façade panel correctly on the subframe, then insert the Center Point fastener with the pre-fitted centring sleeve. The sleeve’s geometry automatically centres the fastener within the panel hole, even when fixing overhead or at arm’s reach.

Accurate centring is critical. Off-centre fixings can restrict panel movement and lead to cracking, particularly in fibre cement panels. The Center Point system prevents this by keeping every fixing straight and central, every time.

Step 4: Drive the fastener using a single tool

Using the optimised bit and a standard power driver, drive the fastener directly into the subframe. No pre-drilling of the subframe is required. The optimised drill tip cuts efficiently through aluminium or steel, reducing installation time.

As the fastener is driven, the centring sleeve breaks and falls away from the façade. This ensures no material remains inside the fixing hole, allowing the panel to expand and contract freely and preventing stress build-up around the fixing.

Step 5: Benefit from the double-start thread

The double-start thread engages cleanly with the subframe, maintaining alignment and preventing the fastener from drifting or pulling to one side. This improves fixing accuracy and can significantly increase installation speed; potentially doubling progress compared to traditional rivet systems.

The patented thread-forming process also prevents loosening over time. Once installed, the fastener cannot unwind due to vibration, supporting long-term façade safety and performance.

Step 6: Allow for thermal movement

A reduced or thread-free zone on the fastener allows installers to overdrive without clamping the panel tightly to the subframe. This enables independent panel movement, accommodating thermal expansion and contraction without cracking, potting, or surface damage.

This feature is especially important for visible façades, where restrained movement can otherwise cause stress fractures or premature panel failure.

Step 7: Achieve a clean, damage-free finish

The fastener head is engineered with a subtle conical contact face, preventing pressure at the outer edge of the hole. This protects the panel surface from scratches and pressure marks while producing a precise, visually aligned fixing.

Flat-head fasteners can be painted to match the façade, delivering a clean, professional finish with minimal visual disruption.

Step 8: Complete the installation with confidence
